On June 12 at 2:30 p.m., the Muzeum tram line construction started, it follows on from the construction Wenceslas Square tram line. This involves the construction of a new tram line, including stops, overhead lines, and track cables. At the same time, the necessary section of the existing Škrétova – Vinohradská tram line, to which the new line connects, will be reconstructed, including the existing Muzeum stop. The construction of the new tram line will further improve public transport services between Vinohrady and the city center. The project also addresses the reconstruction of public lighting and the use of the space left after the demolition of the underpass under Legerova Street for the construction of facilities for a gardening company, which will significantly improve the care of urban greenery in this area. A technical innovation will become the installation of illuminated safety strips in the lowered edges of sidewalks and traffic islands, which will alert pedestrians to approaching trams.
