Charakteristika
With the completion of this project, Radlická station became the 48th barrier-free station in the Prague metro system. Barrier-free access is provided by a lift with a capacity of 1,000 kg (13 people) going from the platform to the surface vestibule.
The location of the elevator was chosen as the most advantageous in terms of technical and operational limitations and construction economics. It was possible to avoid complex technical modifications in the technical facilities of the station at the vestibule level and under the platform, and thus also the complete closure of the station (for approximately 9 months, trains only passed through the station on one track), but the real challenge was the interruption of the prestressed beams in terms of the technological process and the subsequent static securing of the space. With regard to the original architectural spirit of the station, the existing refurbished ceilings in the vestibule were preserved, including the modernization of the lighting, even the architectural lighting located around the inner perimeter of the vestibule, while maintaining the same chromaticity of the lighting as the original sodium discharge lamps (3000 K).
