Charakteristika
A station driven by shield with two vestibules. The layout of this Line D station will not only serve the surrounding area but also allow transfers to the existing Line C (Pankrác C station) and connecting bus and tram services. The station on Line D will include the entire D-C transfer hub. The station is designed with a track layout that allows trains to turn around.
How is the construction progressing?
In July 2026, driving was completed on the largest single-island platform station in Prague, with a maximum excavation area of 407 m². This final driving marked the completion of tunneling work for this phase of the metro. All that remains now is to complete the waterproofing and final lining of the station tunnel, which will complete construction works made by mining-method. Preparatory work is currently underway for the installation of the floor waterproofing. Once this is complete, reinforcement and concrete pouring for the bottom vaults and side supports will begin. The first concrete pours are expected to take place in September 2026. Additionally, the final concrete pours for the vaults of the permanent lining of the transfer passages leading to the post office and the Arkády are currently underway.
