Charakteristika
The lighting in the section II.A – SH (Hostivař junction) of the Prague Metro including the Želivského, Strašnická, and Skalka stations, had been in operation without any major modifications for more than 35 years. The entire section was gradually put into service between 1987 and 1990. Dopravní podnik hl.m. Prahy, as the investor for the entire project, therefore assigned a modernization project for this technology, taking into account the future requirements of the “Metro 2040” concept, which counts on the gradual automation of operations on individual Prague Metro lines.
The new design proposes the installation of modern LED lighting fixtures which will enable smooth power regulation, remote control, and detailed monitoring of the status of each light fixture.
