Metro line D - Olbrachtova Station

Charakteristika

A station driven by shield with a single vestibule. The Line D station here will provide service to the surrounding residential areas and serve as a transfer point to connecting bus (and, in the future, tram) lines.

In July 2026 work continues on the concrete pouring for the vault crown of the service tunnel; currently, two complete vaults have been poured, and the concrete work on the permanent lining of the service structure is expected to be completed in August 2026.

In addition, work has begun on the permanent lining of the station’s final section—the North Connector—which is located in the mining shaft and intersects the left station tunnel, the right station tunnel, and the north escalator tunnel; this is a highly complex intersection involving difficult concrete work. First, the shape had to be adjusted using temporary primary lining so that a uniform shape for the North Connector could be achieved, allowing for the use of a single concrete formwork.

Work is currently underway on the waterproofing and reinforcement of the bottom of the North Connector. An interesting aspect of this concrete pour is that a 5x4-meter rectangle will be left open in the upper part of the vault to allow for the transport of materials into the station area for subsequent work. This opening will be filled with concrete and the shaft backfilled only after work inside the station is completed.

At the same time, construction has begun on the North Vestibule, where the base concrete and waterproofing are being installed in the construction pit.
